I love bringing in the sounds that I have grown up with and re-introducing them into contemporary songs today, as I feel that we have “lost touch” a little with our base roots when it comes to feel good music.
Essntial: Tell us a little about your music and the direction of your sound?
My sound is a mix of different genres – that’s the beauty of what you will hear from me. From melodic singer/songwriter pop rock ballads to blending that with deep house vibes that you can dance to.
I love bringing in the sounds that I have grown up with and re-introducing them into contemporary songs today, as I feel that we have “lost touch” a little with our base roots when it comes to feel good music. Take in the old, mix with the new, you have something good there.
Essntial: Where are you based and why do you live there?
I am currently based in Cyprus and travel to Athens frequently. I have a few exciting plans in the works to start creating a hub in Athens and a few more projects there. However now with remote sessions and the way tech is today, connecting with everyone is super easy.
Essntial: What are your musical aims for 2023? Any upcoming releases?
A few releases are the in the mix at the moment. I try to make every song I have a little different, so that anyone can relate to something I make. I have a very cool and sexy release coming out soon, it’s taken some time and I have delayed the release on purpose because I didn’t want to rush it, and give it the attention I believe it needed. It’s a special song that I really feel is a first touch into what I can show as a singer/songwriter when given an opportunity to express and combine the elements that I feel make a difference to me when making music.
Essntial: And what has been the highlight so far in your career? Maybe one of the live shows?
Various highlights, from my first live gig with an acoustic guitar in front of a drunken crowd to the moment I heard my first single on the radio to connections that I have made along the way allowing me to learn and grow musically. Something I never overlook are my talented friends that have also been an inspiration to me as well and it makes me realize what we are all capable of doing.
Essntial: What Is the one instrument/plugin you can’t live without?
Give me an empty room with a piano and I’m good to go. Even my busted up five-string acoustic guitar which always holds a special place in my heart and the building and writing of my tracks.
Essntial: Who are your ones to watch in 2023?
In the moment I’m building with some partners, specifically between Cyprus, Germany & Athens. Right now I have to shout out to the ever talented Thomas Sykes who really is a force on his own.
